Creative Smarts Math Assembly $2,500
An early love of Math can allow students to have an easier time as they move through school. This assembly is presented to foster that enjoyment.
Bash the Trash $2,145
Bash the Trash builds, performs and educates with musical instruments made from reused and repurposed materials.

Yearly Giveback Summary
We provide class pets to all grades for those willing to participate. This year we provided Hermit Crabs to K, Frogs to 1st Grade and Ducks to 2nd Grade.
Fall Movie Night
Every year a Fall Movie night is provided as a community event for the children to have time with their families/friends and watch a movie.
Field Day Festivities
The PTA provides a DJ and Ice Pops as well as coordinates Water and Watermelon for a fun filled afternoon of fun.
Halloween Give Aways
The PTA provides the children something that they can use for safety during their trick or treating.

Hospitality - School Events and Functions
The PTA provides hospitality on all school events hosted at Hawthorne Elementary such as the Boo Hoo Breakfast.
Indoor/Outdoor Recess Equipment
As part of the student vote we provide for the purchase of new recess equipment for the students.
Rock the Vote
As a way to encourage learning and democracy we provide the students with an opportunity to use a real voting machine each year at the district budget vote. As part of this we also provide pizza parties or other special prizes to the class with the most voters.
Second Grade Graduation Festivities
The PTA provides hospitality and balloons to help celebrate the day for our 2nd graders.
Every year we provide planners to 2nd grade so that they can start becoming accustomed to tracking assignments as they prepare to move to Columbus.
School T-Shirts for Field Day and Field Trips
Every student is provided with a T-Shirt to help celebrate school spirit and use at different events throughout the year.

Cafeteria Speaker and Microphone
Provide an alternative portable system for the school to be able to both make announcements and play music.
Listen and Learn Centers - 1st Grade
Provide additional CD players with junction boxes for the 2 new classes this year.
Kindness Assembly - $750
Providing the understanding of how actions and words can both help and hurt your fellow student is an important part of growing in school.
Seat Sacks - 1st Grade $1,700
Provide a way for the children to be organized in the classroom and minimize the need for moving around to get different items during the day.
Water Fountains $3,600
Providing clean water to the children is a priority. We have provided 4 combo water fountains that also provide a bottle filling station for saving on waste.

Provide funding for a garden where kids can watch, explore and learn about flowers and their growth through the year.
Provide iPad's to enhance the learning environment of the children.

Funding a school trip can provide enjoyment to the kids in a learning environment.
