Box Tops |
By-Laws |
Coordinate the collection, counting and submission of Box Tops. Research and explore various opportunities to raise money.

Review and revise bylaws, if necessary, and adopt by the PTA. Submit to District Bylaws Chairman by appointment date.

Cozy Corner Bookstore
Responsible for running the bookstore at HES. Coordinate volunteers, supplies, inventory and the budget.

Directory
Coordinates the compilation of names of all children, parents and their address and phone numbers in one comprehensive directory.

Cultural ArtsContact, schedule and handle contracts for various performers that provide enriching programs for children. Develop cultural arts calendar with the school principal for the entire year.

Education & Parenting
Coordinates the Student Vote in the Spring. Offers timely safety tips on seasonal activities. Responsible to plan a healthy/safety gift from PTA for Halloween.

Responsible for organizing a “craft fair” event in December as a fundraiser for the PTA.

Responsible for handling the annual PTA membership drive as well as ordering and distributing membership cards. Organizes committee members to be present at Welcome Back Night, Boo Hoo Breakfast and various selected events.

Responsible for the creation of the PTA newsletter for the school community. Collect articles from HES, CES and PTA committees. Write, edit, layout, print and distribute finished newsletter.

Responsible for organizing an event in which children and families within the elementary school's community can celebrate cultural diversity.

Work with the children and teachers at HES to publish books for K-2. End result is a memorable hardcover book.

Coordinate the student art products, using various media to interpret a theme chosen by the national PTA. Must work with National PTA to meet contest deadlines. Plans a celebration for all participants.

Manage the selection (in February with the principals and teachers), order forms (in May) and distribution of school supply packages to families at HES & CES (in August) in coordination with the principals Meet and Greet dates.

Provide information on the special education programs and topics of interest to the parents. Coordinate speaking events and work with the district/staff on school enhancements. This committee also does fundraising to help cover costs.

Parent must have a child entering the 5th grade. Coordinate the production of the yearbook for the 5th graders. Plan to be present in all major events the school
holds to take pictures and capture memories. This Committee runs fundraising and events to cover all costs of yearbook, Graduation Breakfast and Spring Fling Celebration. |
